Dead-end Road

Portrait

Through the shots of "Dead-end road," I immortalized a place now degraded and devoid of life, light and hope. With a female presence within it, I tried to develop a reflection on current society: moral and physical discomfort, the continuous search for appearance, a vicious circle with no exit, a vortex of insecurities that envelop social beliefs and that affect in an aggressive woman. Together with the female figure, I approached newspapers that depict images of a woman. The woman in the newspaper would represent the standard of femininity nowadays. This standard, which is now well permeated in everyone's minds, does not allow women to healthily interface with themselves and with their own "image", a mirror that questions us about the truth; the reflection of her who is unable to accept herself for what she is.
